Matt Zimmer
Matt began his career as an inventor at the age of three when he started disassembling household electronics and explaining to his mother that they were broken. His inquisitive spirit followed him through life and led to the creation of the STACKED packaging concept after a bad experience drinking a bitter and stale glass of wine from a bottle opened two nights before. Matt thinks three hours of sleep is a good night's rest, considers running a marathon a relaxing afternoon, and will make an Ironman more interesting by skipping training.
Matt received his bachelor's and master's in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and then decided to get an MBA in strategy from UC Irvine because his 80-hour work week job afforded him too much downtime. Matt regularly partakes in "product testing" for STACKED on Friday and Saturday nights just to ensure quality is being upheld and is thoroughly enjoying the never ending hours of working on a start-up company.
Jodi Wynn
Jodi was conceived in Iran by Canadian ex-pats and spent her early years at an American school in Holland where she cut her own bangs and wore the same hot pink stretch pants for four years straight. Although she ultimately landed half a mile from the beach in sunny California, she remains ghostly white and can't surf. Today she spends her time driving back and forth between LA and OC in her Mini Cooper talking on her Bluetooth and hoping no one sees. She's notorious for her one arm in the air dance move and thinks happy hour starts at noon and ends at closing.
Jodi's adoration for her Boston Terrier would lead you to question her sanity, yet she managed to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of San Francisco and obtain an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from UC Irvine. After spending eight years managing large portfolios of commercial real estate, which required her to wear pant suits and nylons, Jodi is thrilled to be part of the tirelessly enthusiastic (and casually dressed) founding team of STACKED Wines.
Doug Allan
Growing up in a household where the mantra was "why pay $3 for a bottle of wine when I can pay $2", Doug's parents set the foundation for him to become a sommelier with sensibility. A kid that never fell off the Citizens of the Month board, he sported huge glasses, neon fanny packs, and slap bracelets well beyond the 80's. Doug gloats about starring as an extra on a Howie Mandel TV pilot and once unknowingly asking out Ashlee Simpson (she said 'no').
As an alum of the Cornell Hotel School and with his Diploma of Wine & Spirits, Doug can spend twenty-minutes enthusiastically lecturing on how soil erosion impacts the tannin level of wine grapes. Fortunately, his experience managing Chateau Montelena's tasting room coupled with an MBA in marketing and strategy from UC Irvine give him the wherewithal to allow you to just enjoy your flippin' wine. Doug's passion for making quality wine accessible to the masses is well-served in his position as STACKED's resident "wine guy."
